Event Update:

**The Annual Women’s Wine & Chocolate Walk event is only a few days away. We are taking into consideration the recent statement released by The Carter Center regarding former U.S. President Jimmy Carter’s health. As of right now, we are moving forward with the event scheduled for this Saturday. We will notify everyone immediately should we need to reschedule. In the meantime, we’re so excited and hope to see everyone this Saturday for an amazing time in Downtown Americus.**

About this event

Although the name says it all, this event is designed for the No. 1 shopper in the family. We will have several locations available to taste amazing wines, as well as, locations to taste the most decadent chocolates. Participants receive a tasting glass and a passport to guide them through the downtown and each will have a chance to win great prizes! Everyone will go home with their own “goody bag” filled with chocolates, wine-related gifts, and shopping/dining discount coupons from local businesses. This is in its 5th year and is continuing to grow more and more each year!

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Yes, only those with a valid driver’s license that states that you are 21 or older will be admitted to the event.  Those that are not 21 or older will not receive a glass or passport and therefore not allowed to take part in the event.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking is available at any of our public parking lots in the downtown.  The trolley will run during the event to transport those that aren’t able to walk long distances.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

You may contact Main Street Director, Qaijuan Willis at 229-924-4411 ext. 247 or at qwillis@americusga.gov if you have any questions or concerns.

What’s the refund policy?

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes; we may try to scan your phone, but if this doesn’t work, you will want to have a backup.

Is my ticket transferrable?

Yes, you may give your ticket to someone else, but your ticket may only be scanned once.  Don’t let anyone have a copy of your ticket unless you are giving it to them.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn’t match the person who attends?

Yes, tickets are transferable.
